【国際コース】　「Communication」授業　～世界の祭りを知ろう～

　今年度、「Communication」授業のレベル２クラスでは、最初のプロジェクトとして「海外の興味深い祭りを調べ、日本の祭りと比較する」という課題に取り組んでいます。生徒たちは、海外と日本のそれぞれの祭りについて、旅行会社が企画・販売している「国際フェスティバルツアー」のプレゼンテーションを行います。

　このプロジェクトを通じて、生徒たちは海外と日本における文化や重要な行事について理解を深めると同時に、英語でのプレゼンテーション能力を高めることができます。また、プロジェクトの計画立案、予算作成、イベントのスケジュール作成など、ビジネススキルを実践的に学ぶ機会にもなっています。

　現在までに、生徒たちはアメリカ、スペイン、スリランカ、台湾の祭りについて学び、調査を進めています。今後の発表が楽しみです。

This year in the 4-skills Communication Skills class for the level 2 students, our first project is to find an interesting festival in a foreign country and to compare it with a similar festival in Japan. The students will have to do a presentation on both the foreign festival and the Japanese festival in the style of selling a “International Festival Tour” which has been organized and is being sold by a travel company. This project lets students learn about important events and aspects of cultures in both a foreign country and in Japan. It also gives students a chance to develop not only their presentation skills in English, but business skills such as project planning, creating a budget, and making an event itinerary. Students have already learned about festivals in the U.S., Spain, Sri Lanka, and Taiwan.
