【インターナショナルコース】ダレン先生のLevel 3「Drama」の授業

クラーク国際東京キャンパスインターナショナルコースは、英語で「好き」を究めて、ほかの文化を理解する力、世界の課題に取り組む力を育成するコースです。世界との交流を通して「人生の軸・芯」と出会い、自分の可能性に手を伸ばしていきます。今日は水曜日の午後に行っている「ドラマ」の授業を、イギリス出身のDarren先生がご紹介します。

Back to the Future

Today in the International course Drama, the lesson theme was based around the popular movie called “Back to the Future”. The students watched a small snippet of the movie, on their worksheets they had to listen and fill in the gaps. The second section: translating the word definitions into Japanese and modelling the words in real life situations for better understanding of the vocabulary. Students then practiced the roles of (a) Doc Brown (b) Marty in a role play scenario.

今日のインターナショナルコースのドラマの授業では、「バック・トゥ・ザ・フューチャー」という人気映画をテーマに行いました。まず生徒たちは映画の一部を視聴し、ワークシートにその内容を記入しました。次に、語彙の理解を深めるために、単語の定義を日本語に訳しました。そして、実際にその単語を使いながらモデルを作りました。その後、(a)ドク・ブラウン役 (b)マーティ役をロールプレイで練習しました。

Remembering Your Lines!

The next part of the lesson we played a game called “Learning your Lines“. Students have 10 minutes to remember their lines from the script. The game objective was, they have 6 chances (strings of the parachute). If the students made errors in the script, with missed words, wrong pronunciation or they forgot the lines, strings are cut. And, if all strings are cut, the character falls into the shark infested water, and the team are out.

次のパートでは、「セリフを覚える」というゲームを行いました。生徒たちは10分間で台本のセリフを覚えなければなりません。6回のチャンス（パラシュートの紐）があり、もし生徒が台本に書かれている単語を間違えたり、発音を間違えたり、セリフを忘れたりしたら、ホワイトボードに書いたパラシューターが海に落ちてしまうというゲームです。
