【国際コース】自分に合ったレベルで英語を学ぶ

　国際コースでは、生徒一人ひとりに合った学習ができるように、3つのレベル別クラスを設けています。授業内容が難しすぎると、英語力を伸ばすまでに時間がかかってしまうため、それぞれのレベルに合った環境で学ぶことを大切にしています。

　レベル2のコミュニケーションスキル授業では、多くの生徒が英検準2級の合格を目指して勉強しています。最近の授業では、北海道のおすすめ観光地について英語で話す練習を行いました。

授業では、

• 「〜は北海道で最も美しい場所の一つです」 “~ is one of the most beautiful places in Hokkaido”
• 「〜はぜひ訪れてほしい場所です」”You won’t want to miss visiting ~”

といった、実際に使える英語表現を学んでいます。

　また、生徒たちは会話練習だけでなく、短い記事を読んだり、動画を見たりしながら、話す・聞く・読む・書くの4つの技能をバランスよく伸ばしています。

　そして何より、自分の好きな北海道の場所について英語で話すことで、楽しく、身近に英語を学ぶことができます。

The International Course has three different class levels so that every student can study English at the level that is best for them. When lessons are too difficult, it can take much longer for students to build confidence and improve their language skills.

In the Level 2 Communication Skills class, many students are preparing for the EIKEN Grade Pre-2 test. Recently, students have been learning how to talk about great places to visit in Hokkaido.

They are practicing useful phrases such as:

• “~ is one of the most beautiful places in Hokkaido.”
• “You won’t want to miss visiting ~.”

In class, students practice English in many different ways. They have conversations, read short articles, watch videos, and improve all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Best of all, students can use English to talk about their own favorite places in Hokkaido, making learning more personal, fun, and meaningful.
