【国際コース】老人クラブでスマホ講座　～世代の架け橋に～

　国際コースの生徒たちが老人クラブでスマホ講座を開催しました。
　国際コースのプロジェクト学習では、生徒たちが社会のさまざまな課題について調査し、解決策を考えながら実際に行動に移しています。
　今回、あるグループが取り組んでいるテーマは「デジタル・デバイド（情報格差）」です。特に、高齢者の方々がスマートフォンやインターネットを十分に活用できず、必要な情報や便利なサービスにアクセスしにくいという課題に注目しています。
　その課題を解決するための第一歩として、生徒たちは地域の老人クラブを訪問し、「スマートフォンの使い方講座」を開催しました。
講座では、
・スマートフォンの電源の入れ方・文字入力の方法を変更する方法
・Googleマップの使い方
など、日常生活で役立つ基本的な操作について紹介しました。
　説明の後は、一人ひとりの参加者のもとへ行き、実際にスマートフォンを操作しながらサポートしました。生徒たちは、笑顔と忍耐強さ、そして相手を思いやる気持ちを大切にしながら、丁寧に質問に答えていました。最初は少し緊張した様子だった参加者の皆さんも、次第に自信を持ってスマートフォンを操作できるようになり、会場にはたくさんの笑顔があふれていました。
　そして講座の最後には、老人クラブの皆さんから、「今度はYouTubeの使い方を教えに来てください！」という、とてもうれしいリクエストをいただきました。
　今回の活動を通して、生徒たちは地域の方々と交流しながら、自分たちの学びが誰かの役に立つことを実感することができました。また、社会課題の解決は教室の中だけではなく、人と人とのつながりの中から生まれることも学びました。これからも国際コースでは、社会をより良くするために、自ら考え、行動し、地域とつながるプロジェクト学習を続けていきます。

In the International Course’s Project-Based Learning classes, students are tackling important and difficult social issues and working to create real solutions.
One group has chosen to focus on the digital divide—the lack of access that many senior citizens have to information and services through technology.
As one step toward addressing this issue, the students visited a local senior citizens’ club and delivered a workshop on how to use smartphones.
During the workshop, the students introduced several basic smartphone skills, including:

How to turn a smartphone on and off• How to change the text input method• How to use Google Maps
After the presentation, the students worked individually with the participants, patiently answering questions and helping them practice on their own phones. Throughout the workshop, the students showed smiles, patience, and genuine care for each person they met.
Many of the participants were nervous at first, but little by little they became more confident using their smartphones. By the end of the session, the room was filled with smiles and lively conversations.
The highlight of the day came at the end of the workshop when the members of the senior citizens’ club enthusiastically said,
“Please come back and teach us how to use YouTube next time!”
It was a truly memorable moment for everyone involved.
Through this experience, the students discovered that their learning can make a real difference in the community. They also learned that solving social problems does not happen only in the classroom—it happens when people connect, listen to one another, and work together.
The International Course will continue to encourage students to think deeply, take action, and build meaningful connections with the community as they work to create a better society.
