【国際コース】　他国の文化どう学ぶ？　～学校の中にも広がる世界～

　「他の国の文化はどうやって学べばいいのだろう？」
　 海外に行けなかったり、外国の人と直接話せなかったりする場合、どのように異文化を体験できるのでしょうか。

　その問いに挑戦したのが、国際コースの生徒たちです。

　生徒たちは、難しい情報をたくさん伝えるのではなく、日本と比べながら文化を紹介するという方法を選びました。違いだけでなく、共通点に注目することで、より身近で分かりやすい内容にしました。こうして、生徒たちはさまざまな国の文化ポスターを作り、校内で紹介しました。ポスターを読んだ後には、オンラインクイズに挑戦することもできます。

　このプロジェクトを通して、生徒たちは学校をより国際的な場所にすると同時に、ポスターを作った国について深く学ぶことができました。

　視野を広げるために、必ずしも海外に行く必要はありません。学校の中でも、世界は広がっています。

Experiencing Other Cultures at School

Have you ever wondered how you can learn about other cultures? What if you can’t travel overseas or talk with people from other countries?

That is the challenge one group of International Course students decided to take on.

Instead of giving too much difficult information, the students chose a simple and smart idea. They introduced foreign cultures by comparing them with Japan and focusing on important similarities, not just differences. This made the cultures easier to understand and more interesting.

The students created a series of culture posters to bring the world to Clark Sapporo Odori Campus. After reading the posters, students can also try online quizzes to check what they learned.

Through this project, International Course students helped make their school more international. At the same time, they learned deeply about each country they studied.

You don’t always need to leave your country—or even your school—to broaden your view of the world.
