【ボランティア】　苗穂町内会サマーフェスティバルを運営しました！　～500人以上の子どもたちが大満足～

　毎年夏、苗穂町内会の大きな夏祭り（サマーフェス）でお手伝いをしています。これまでは子ども向けゲームコーナーで、屋台の運営をサポートしていました。でも今年は特別！ クラークのボランティア同好会が、自分たちのゲーム屋台をまるごと任されたのです。

　大切な仕事のひとつは、500個の景品を用意すること。祭りの2週間前から、部員たちは食べ物型のキーホルダーや花のかんむり、カラフルな糸ランタンなどを手作りしました。材料の多くはリサイクル品。子どもたちに楽しんでもらうだけでなく、環境を守りたいという思いも込められていました。

　祭り当日には26人の生徒が集まり、屋台の準備や景品の陳列を行い、他のゲームコーナーの手伝いもしました。暑い日差しの中でも笑顔を絶やさず、訪れた人たちと楽しく会話していました。

　一日の終わりには、500人以上の子どもたちがゲームを楽しみ、景品を持ち帰りました。地域の人々と交流し、子どもたちを笑顔にできた、とても素敵な一日になりました！

Every summer, Clark students help out at the Naibo Neighborhood Association’s big Summer Festival. In the past, they worked at the children’s game corner, helping to run the booths. But this year was extra special—Clark’s Volunteer Club got to run their very own game booth!

This was a big job. They had to prepare 500 prizes for the winners. For two weeks before the festival, club members worked hard making handmade prizes like food-shaped keyrings, pretty flower crowns, and colorful string lanterns. Most of the materials were recycled, which was important to the club. They wanted the prizes to be fun for the children and good for the environment.

On the day of the festival, 26 Clark students came to help. They set up their booth, arranged all the prizes, and even helped prepare other game booths. It was a hot, sunny day, but they kept smiling and talking with everyone who came by.

By the end of the day, more than 500 children had played their game and won a prize. It was a great day to help the community, meet new people, and make a lot of children happy!
