The Christmas season is here
This is special time of year for international studies. For the first part of our final lesson before winter vacation, I’m giving an interesting presentation about how Canadians and other cultures celebrate this holiday.
クリスマス・シーズンが到来し、この時期は国際学習にとって特別な時期です。冬休み前最後のレッスンの第一部は、カナダ人と他の文化がこの祝日をどのように祝うかについて面白いプレゼンテーションをします。
Christmas in Canada and Japan
Christmas in Japan is similar to New Years in Canada, and the sacredness of Christmas in Canada is similar to the traditions of New Years in Japan. After this section we will watch a quick, beautiful, and enlightening video about the Christmas truce of 1914.
日本のクリスマスはカナダのお正月に似ていて、カナダのクリスマスの神聖さは日本のお正月の伝統に似ています。第一部の後は、1914年のクリスマス休戦に関する短い、美しく、心に響くビデオを見ます。
Christmas Jeopardy!
Then to test everyone’s English skills and knowledge of Christmas, we will play a game of Jeopardy. This is when students work in groups and answer varying degrees of difficult trivia questions. I’m excited as this class is going to be very fun, and students will learn things unique about how other cultures celebrate this magical time of year!
そして、皆の英語力とクリスマスに関する知識を試すために、ジェパディゲームを行います。これは、生徒たちがグループになって、さまざまな難易度のトリビア問題に答えるというものです。このクラスはとても楽しく、生徒たちは他の文化がこの不思議な時期をどのように祝うかについてユニークなことを学ぶことができるでしょう。私はわくわくしています！
