【インターナショナルコース】助動詞をマスターして表現の幅を広げよう！

クラーク記念国際高等学校 東京キャンパス インターナショナルコース の Test Skills というクラスをご紹介します。このクラスでは、生徒それぞれの目標の実現に向けて、身近な話題から社会的な課題まで、自分独自の意見や見解を持ち、明確に主張したり、伝わりやすく表現したりできる力も身につけています。今日はPeter先生が、「テストスキルズ」の授業をご紹介します。

In the class today, we tried something a little different. All students were asked to take dictation of a number of sentences that focus on modals. For example, could, can, may, and might!

今日の授業では、ちょっと変わったことをやってみました。生徒全員に、助動詞に焦点をあてたいくつかの文のディクテーションをしてもらいました。例えば、could、can、may、mightなどです。

Students did remarkably well

Some of the vocabulary was new and we spent time working through that together. Once we had written out and corrected our sentences, we worked on a translation task to check our understanding of the text. Students did remarkably well and I was impressed by their ability to get through this difficult task.

いくつかの語彙は新しいものだったので、それを一緒に勉強しました。文章を書き出し、添削した後は、文章の理解度をチェックするための翻訳課題に取り組みました。生徒たちは驚くほどよくでき、この難しい課題をやり遂げた彼らの能力に感心しました。
