【インターナショナルコース】Social Change Conferenceを実施しました

クラーク国際 東京キャンパスのインターナショナルコースは、英語力、ほかの文化を理解する力、世界の課題に取り組む力を育成するコースです。インターナショナルコースは、無学年制のレベル別授業を展開しています。そのため、生徒はどのレベルからでも着実に成長できます。

Campuses all over Japan in an online Social Change Conference

Our Tokyo international course joined with campuses all over Japan in an online Social Change Conference. Our students listened to and participated in a talk, that encouraged us to think about resilience, and how to overcome challenges that life puts before us.

東京キャンパスは全国のキャンパスと連携し、オンラインでソーシャルチェンジカンファレンスを開催しました。生徒たちはレジリエンス（しなやかさ）について、そして人生が突きつける課題をどう乗り越えるかを考えるきっかけとなる講演を聴講しました。

Think what we can do in the age of AI

During the conference our students were encouraged to talk with each other to discuss questions designed to stimulate critical thinking. Students were asked to finish the sentence “ In the age of AI, we have to… “

会議中、学生たちは批判的思考を促す質問について互いに議論するよう促されました。「AI時代において、私たちは…しなければならない」という文を完成させる課題も出されました。

An overarching theme was life lessons to carry you through the hard times. Mentioned was prioritizing intangible things like memories, and values over material objects. Tips on how to survive and thrive in the hard times included, how to be comfortable being uncomfortable.

共通のテーマは「困難な時期を乗り切るための人生の教訓」でした。物質的なものより、記憶や価値観といった形のないものを優先することの重要性が指摘されました。困難な時期を生き抜き、成長するためのヒントとして、「不快な状況に慣れる方法」などが挙げられました。

Present what they think to other campuses

Students from various campuses presented on topics that they felt passionate about. We had two presentations from our campus. One targeting the SDG of wasted food. Solutions to remedy this problem included providing homeless people with food, that would otherwise be waisted.

各キャンパスの生徒が情熱を注ぐテーマを発表しました。当キャンパスからも2チームの有志が発表がしました。1つは食品廃棄というSDGs課題に焦点を当てたもので、廃棄されるはずの食料をホームレス支援に活用する解決策が提案されました。

This was a good experience for students to think about the adventure of life waiting for them beyond high school.

生徒たちにとっては、高校卒業後に待ち受ける人生の冒険について考える貴重な経験となりました。
