【インターナショナルコース】Machinaka ENGLISH QUEST in Minato Mirai!
The 2nd-year International Course students recently took part in an all-English ENGLISH QUEST in Minato Mirai. Working in groups of four to six students with mixed English ability levels, they spent the morning completing a variety of fun quests entirely in English.
Each team earned points by successfully completing missions, and time was also included in the scoring. This made the challenge even more exciting, as students had to think and communicate in English in a fast-paced environment.
Each group was guided by a foreign resident living in Japan, giving students the opportunity to interact with people from different backgrounds and practice using English outside the classroom.
Despite the cold weather, everyone had a great time. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to use their English skills in a real-world setting while enjoying a fun and memorable activity.
Well done to all the participants—we hope to do it again next year!
まちなかENGLISH QUEST in みなとみらい
先日、インターナショナルコースの2年生が、みなとみらいを舞台にした「まちなかENGLISH QUEST」に挑戦しました。
生徒たちは英語の習熟度レベルが異なる4〜6人のグループに分かれ、午前中いっぱい、さまざまな楽しいクエストにすべて英語で取り組みました。
各チームはミッションをクリアするごとにポイントを獲得しますが、ゴールまでの「タイム」もスコアに影響します。そのため、スピード感が求められる状況下で、生徒たちは必死に英語で考え、コミュニケーションを取りながらミッションをこなしていました。
また、各グループには日本在住の外国人ゲストがガイドとして同行。教室の外で、多様なバックグラウンドを持つ方々と交流し、生きた英語を実践する貴重な機会となりました。
当日は冷え込みましたが、寒さを忘れるほど全員が楽しい時間を過ごしました。実社会の中で英語力試し、思い出に残る素晴らしいアクティビティとなりました。
