【インターナショナルコース】Peter先生による「テストスキルズ 英検準2級」の授業
クラーク記念国際高等学校 東京キャンパス インターナショナルコース の Test Skills というクラスをご紹介します。このクラスでは、生徒それぞれの目標の実現に向けて、身近な話題から社会的な課題まで、自分独自の意見や見解を持ち、明確に主張したり、伝わりやすく表現したりできる力も身につけています。今日はPeter先生が、英検準2級「テストスキルズ」の授業をご紹介します。
Read – Think – Write
In today’s class we focused on the passive voice, past and present. Students pulled themselves through the 5th period with a lot of repetition and translation. Once complete, students looked tired, so, we changed it up a little with a quick stretch and a walk around the classroom. Feeling refreshed, students started to work on their task in the 6th period.
Write what you remember
Utilizing the grammar point for today, I showed them passages of reading for short periods of time. Then, having taken away the reading, I asked students to write what they remembered. At first it was difficult but once they got used to it, they never looked back.
今日の文法のポイントを生かしながら、短時間のリーディングのパッセージを見せました。そして回収したあと、生徒たちに覚えていることを書いてもらいました。最初は難しかったようですが、一度慣れてしまえば、後戻りすることはありませんでした。
Nobody likes tests, right?
I was impressed with their efforts as it can be a grueling series of lessons. Nobody likes tests, right? I understand that, but if we don’t work hard, we will never achieve our goals. Well-done today students. It was great to see you all work so hard.
