【インターナショナルコース】アダム先生による「まちなかEnglish Quest in お台場」体験記

クラーク国際 東京キャンパスのインターナショナルコースでは、普段の授業で培ってきた英語力を実践的に試す機会として、毎年お台場でのAll Englishの校外学習を実施しています。今回はカナダ出身のAdam先生が、2, 3年生がはじめて挑戦した「まちなかEnglish Quest」の様子をお伝えします。

Inquiry-based fieldwork program

Machinaka English Quest is an inquiry-based fieldwork program where students venture into the local community and form teams with English-speaking university students, graduate students, English teachers, and other foreign residents living in Japan. Together, they complete missions entirely in English.

まちなかEnglish Questは、地域社会に飛び出し、日本在住の外国籍で英語を話す地域の大学生、大学院生、英語教師等とチームを組んでAll Englishでミッションをクリアしていく探究型フィールドワークです。

Meeting people from diverse countries

The team leaders are from all different countries. This creates a perfect opportunity for our international students to practice communicating in English. Meeting people from diverse countries is a rare and cherished opportunity. Our students had a fun time getting to know them a little bit and sharing the afternoon with them.

チームリーダーは様々な国から集まっています。これはインターナショナルコースの生徒にとって英語でのコミュニケーションを実践する絶好の機会となります。多様な国々の人々と出会えることは稀で貴重な体験です。クラーク生は彼らと少し交流し、有意義な楽しい午後の時間を過ごしました。

Freedom to explore the beautiful Odaiba area

They had the freedom to explore the beautiful Odaiba area. There is a beach, a giant statue of the Gundam, a Statue of Liberty, a huge shopping mall, and much more.

生徒たちは美しいお台場エリアを自由に探索しました。ビーチ、巨大なガンダム像、自由の女神像、巨大なショッピングモールなど、見どころはたくさんあります。

まちなかEnglish Questは、インターナショナルコースの生徒にとって、学んだ英語を存分に活用し、協力し合いながら、身近な東京の美しい地域を探索する絶好の機会となりました。HelloWorldやイングリッシュスピーカーの皆さん、暑いなか素敵な時間をありがとうございました！
