【体育祭】Nica先生による、はじめての「クラーク国際東京キャンパス 体育祭」体験記
クラーク国際東京キャンパスでは、6月22日に、大田区総合体育館で体育祭を実施しました。今年度のテーマは「勇猛果敢 You can！」
“勇気をもって挑戦する大切さ”と“仲間同士で励まし合う大切さ”を込めたテーマです。実行委員生徒を中心に何度も話し合いを重ね、新たな試みにも挑み、生徒が主体的に体育祭を計画してきました。今回はNica先生が、当日の様子をお伝えします。
Brave and daring
私は今年の4月にクラークに来たため、体育祭を初めて体験しました。これまで他の学校の体育祭を見てきましたが、それとは多くの共通点があるものの、なぜかクラークの体育祭はひときわ際立っていました。各学年ごとにTシャツの色が決められており、1年生は緑、2年生は青、3年生は赤でした。さらに盛り上げるため、各クラスが独自のロゴをデザイン・制作しました。そのロゴには「YOU CAN」や「勇猛果敢」といった言葉を盛り込みました。
Importance of having the courage to take on challenges and encouraging one another
Students participated in many challenging and competitive games, including capture the flag, obstacle races, giant ball passing, and a new original style of tug-of-war. For me, I usually see the students glued to their desks in their school uniforms, so it was a good feeling seeing them moving around throughout the day. From the very beginning, the leader of each team screamed their hearts out as they encouraged and talked to their team members.
生徒たちは、旗取りしっぽ取りや障害物リレー、大玉転がし、棒引きなど、挑戦的で競争の激しい多くのゲームに参加しました。普段、制服姿の生徒たちが机に張り付いている姿しか見ていない私にとって、一日中動き回っている彼らの姿を見るのはとても心地よいものでした。イベントの最初から、各チームのキャプテンは、チームメイトを励まし、声をかけるために、声を張り上げて叫んでいました。
Superstars of the event⭐
Their passion was so great that it raised everyone’s spirits in the room, including the teachers and parents. The cheering groups in the stands were also the superstars of the event. Their voices pushed the players to have fun and give their best in playing the games. It was infectious; I felt that their energy also influenced me. Truly, the students’ enthusiasm was what made this Sports Festival a unique experience for me.
生徒たちの情熱は実に素晴らしく、教員や保護者の方々を含め、会場にいる全員の気分を高揚させてくれました。スタンドで声援を送る応援団も、このイベントの主役でした。彼らの声援が選手たちを後押しし、試合を楽しみながら全力を尽くすよう促しました。その熱気は周囲にも伝染し、私もそのエネルギーに影響を受けたのを感じました。まさに、生徒たちの熱意こそが、この体育祭を私にとってかけがえのない体験にしてくれたのです。
