【行事】A picture-perfect day for a BBQ
クラーク記念国際高等学校東京キャンパスでは、新入生が先輩と同じ班で活動して学年を超えて交流することで、より早く高校生活に馴染めるよう、ゴールデンウィーク明けに新入生歓迎会を実施しています。今日はカナダ出身のアダム先生が、楽しかった交流の様子をお伝えします。
A beautiful day in the park
Before our field trip to Showa Memorial Park in Tachikawa, students at the Tokyo Clark campus formed BBQ groups with their friends and learned the basics before heading out. When we arrived in the park, the sun was shinning, birds were singing, and we gathered our supplies to enjoy a beautiful day in the park.
立川にある昭和記念公園を訪れる前、クラーク東京キャンパスの生徒たちは仲間とバーベキューグループをつくり、出発前に基本を学びました。公園に到着すると、太陽が輝き、鳥のさえずりが聞こえる中、私たちは道具を揃えて公園での素晴らしい一日を楽しみました。
First-time cooking?!
Each team received a package with charcoal, grills, cut vegetables, seasoned chicken, thick bacon, yummy yakisoba, and everything we need for a delicious meal. Some students told me that this was their first-time cooking. This means that this was a fantastic learning experience for many.
各チームには、炭、グリル、カット野菜、味付けチキン、厚切りベーコン、美味しい焼きそばなど、美味しい食事を作るために必要なものがすべて入ったセットが配られました。中には「料理をするのは初めて」という生徒もいました。つまり多くの生徒にとって、これは素晴らしい学びの体験となったのです。
Work and cook together
They learned how to work as a group, share responsibilities, and cook delicious food over and open fire. This day will be a life long memory for everyone who participated in this Showa Memorial Park, Tachikawa BBQ field trip adventure.
生徒たちはチームワークを学び、役割分担をし、直火で美味しい料理を作る方法を身につけました。この日、立川昭和記念公園での新入生歓迎会に参加した全員にとって、一生の思い出となることでしょう。
