【インターナショナルコース】「リアル」の中で学ぶ Ask the Lawmaker: English Q&A Session

クラーク国際 東京キャンパスのインターナショナルコースは、英語力、ほかの文化を理解する力、世界の課題に取り組む力を育成するコースです。インターナショナルコースでは、グローバル経験、国際協力、法律をつくること、キャリアパス、国会での仕事のことなどを直接聞きたいと願い、多様なルーツをもつ現職の衆議院議員をお招きして英語で交流しました。

A special visitor to the International Course

Mr. Jesús Fukasaku took some time out of his very busy schedule to talk with our International Course students. He is a Japanese politician whose mother is from Peru. He even spoke with one of our students in Spanish.

深作ヘススさんは、多忙なスケジュールの中、時間を割いてインターナショナルコースの生徒たちと交流してくださいました。同氏はペルーのリマで生まれ、母親がペルー出身の日本の政治家です。生徒の一人とはスペイン語で会話も交わしました。

Why did you decide to become a politician?
What is the most challenging aspect of the legislative process?

Having an elected politician with diverse roots answer our students’ questions is an amazing opportunity. There are many students in the International Course who also have diverse roots, so having a person of his stature visit us is really inspiring. Our students had the freedom to ask him whatever they wanted to.

選挙で選ばれ、多様なルーツをもつ政治家が生徒たちの質問に答えてくれるというのは、素晴らしい機会です。インターナショナルコースには、同様に多様なルーツを持つ生徒がたくさんいるため、彼のような著名な人物が当校を訪れてくれたことは、本当に刺激的でした。生徒たちは、何でも自由に質問することができました。

Get inspired!

Our students asked the questions in English that they had prepared as part of their pre-class assignment, posing them directly as long as time allowed. This was a really inspiring session, and I know we have all broadened our horizons and become more inspired to reach for our dreams.

生徒たちは、授業前の課題として準備しておいた質問を自分の言葉で英語で投げかけ、時間が許す限り直接質問しました。今回のセッションは実に刺激的なもので、私たち全員が視野を広げ、夢に向かって邁進する意欲をさらに高めたことでしょう。
