【インターナショナルコース】Book hunting at Japan’s largest international bookstore

クラーク国際 東京キャンパスのインターナショナルコースは、英語力、ほかの文化を理解する力、世界の課題に取り組む力を育成するコースです。インターナショナルコースは、無学年制のレベル別授業を展開しています。そのため、生徒はどのレベルからでも着実に成長できます。今回は、Adam先生がレベル1と2の生徒と行った校外学習をご紹介します。

Books Kinokuniya Tokyo

On this day, our Level 1 and 2 classes took a trip to the largest foreign book store in Japan, Kinokuniya, in Shinjuku. To see, hold, and check out such a wide selection of books in English was a first for some of our students. Reading is one of the most important skills for mastering a language.

レベル1と2のクラスは、日本最大の外国書籍専門店でもある新宿のBooks Kinokuniya Tokyoへ見学に行きました。英語の書籍がこれほど豊富に揃っている様子を実際に見て、手に取って読むのは、生徒によっては初めての経験でした。読書は言語習得において最も重要なスキルの一つです。

Expanding your imagination and knowledge

Being inspired to read books is the key to mastering not only language tests but also expanding your imagination and knowledge. Many students encountered and obtained engaging books suited to their level. A trip like this could change a young learner’s career path for the better and forever.

読書への意欲は、言語試験の習得だけでなく、想像力や知識を広げる鍵となります。多くの生徒が自分のレベルに合った魅力的な本と出会い、手に入れました。このような見学は、若い学習者の進路を良い方向に、そして永遠に変える可能性があります。

I have always loved trips to the bookstore, and this particular shop is a treasure. Fiction, non-fiction, and all the categories of genres spread out across the store made it a very exciting field trip. I am so excited to see our students enthusiastic to read more. Looking forward to catching up with them about what they are reading.

このお店は特に宝物のような場所です。店内には小説、ノンフィクション、あらゆるジャンルの本が所狭しと並び、とてもワクワクする校外学習となりました。生徒たちが読書に熱心な姿を見て、本当に嬉しく思います。彼らがどんな本を読んでいるのか、近々話を聞くのが楽しみです。
