Questcup Social Change English just around the corner
Students from Upper Presentation have completed their posters and practiced their presentations many times, but they’re not done yet. With Questcup Social Change English just around the corner, students must prepare not only their presentation skills, but also their ability to handle judges’ tough questions.
アッパー・プレゼンテーションの生徒たちはポスターを完成させ、発表練習を何度も繰り返しましたが、まだ準備は終わりません。クエストカップ全国大会が目前に迫る中、生徒たちは発表スキルだけでなく、審査員の厳しい質問に対応する能力も磨かなければなりません。
Politely responding to particularly challenging questions
First, students carefully considered the kinds of questions judges might ask and planned thoughtful answers, including how to politely respond to particularly challenging questions. Next, they stepped into the role of judges themselves, watching their classmates’ presentations and taking detailed notes.
まず、生徒たちは審査員がどのような質問をするかを慎重に検討し、特に難しい質問にも丁寧に答える方法を考えながら、入念な回答を準備しました。次に、自ら審査員の立場に立ち、クラスメートの発表を観察しながら詳細なメモを取りました。
Sharpening listening skills
After each presentation, everyone asked the presenters a question, using a range of question words and difficulty levels. This activity pushed students to think even more deeply about their research topics while also sharpening their listening skills.
