年度末の学年特別時間割では、ふだん英語コミュニケーションの習熟度Sクラスや、インターナショナルコースの授業を担当しているアダム先生が、スーパーヒーローキャラクター制作講座を展開しました！
English x professional illustration techniques
For our final classes of the year, we offer the first-year students the chance to have a special one-off lesson. This combines learning English as well as being introduced to some professional illustration techniques. Even the art students can learn lots of new techniques.
今年度の最後の授業として、1年生を対象に特別な単発レッスンを実施しました。このレッスンでは、英語学習に加え、プロのイラストレーション技法も紹介します。美術デザインコースの生徒ですら多くの新しい技法を学ぶことができるでしょう。
Creating original super-powered characters
Some students seemed surprised to learn how we can draw a detailed, clear, and clean drawing without using an eraser. Another point that seemed to surprise is that a wolverine is an actual animal. Everyone receives a character sheet for them to create their own super powered character, write it down, and create it.
消しゴムを使わずに、細部までくっきりとしたきれいな絵を描くことができると知って、驚いた様子の生徒もいました。また「ウルヴァリン」が実在する動物（クズリ）であるという点にも、驚いていたようです。生徒全員にキャラクターシートが配られ、各自が独自の超能力を持つキャラクターを考案し、それを書き留め、作成します。
Building characters’ personalities
They choose an element, an animal, and a superpower. They also come up with and write down what the personality of this character is. Because this lesson involves so many different skills, students have to overcome an obstacle somewhere during the process. It is difficult for some, but fun for everyone.
生徒たちは、要素、動物、そして超能力を選びます。また、そのキャラクターの性格を考え出し、書き留めます。この授業ではさまざまなスキルが求められるため、生徒たちはその過程のどこかで困難に直面することになります。難しいと感じる子生徒もいますが、皆にとって楽しい体験です。
Color theory
We also go over superhero colour theory, and learn about how colours are used to tell us about if the character is good, bad, or an anti-hero. What is an anti-hero? Come join our class and find out.
