【国際コース】「Production」授業　～実社会の課題を研究しながら学ぶ～

　国際コースでは、毎週木曜日に「プロジェクトラボ」のグループ活動を行っています。生徒たちは自分たちが関心を持つ社会課題を選び、仲間と協力しながら研究を進めています。

　最近では、多くのグループが大学や専門機関の専門家へのインタビューに挑戦しています。実際にその分野で活躍している方々から直接話を聞くことで、理解をさらに深めています。

　例えば先週は、日本のジェンダー格差の解消について研究しているグループが、関西大学の社会学の教授にインタビューを行いました。また今週は、札幌市のヒグマ問題について研究しているグループが、北海道猟友会を訪れ、専門家に話を聞く予定です。

　しかし、こうしたインタビューの前に、生徒たちはまず国際的な視点からテーマについて深く調査します。さまざまな国でどのような取り組みが行われているのかを調べ、日本の状況と比較しながら理解を深めていきます。

　生徒たちが専門家に質問する内容も、こうした国際比較をもとにしたものが多くあります。日本語と英語の両方で調査を行うことで、より幅広い情報や考え方に触れることができます。この国際的な視点こそが、国際コースのプロジェクト学習の大きな特徴です。

Every Thursday, students in the International Course work in their Project Lab groups to research social issues that they care about. Students choose topics that interest them and work together to learn more about them.

Recently, many groups have started interviewing experts from universities and professional organizations. These interviews give students a chance to learn directly from people who are working in the field.

For example, last week a group researching ways to reduce the gender gap in Japan interviewed a sociology professor from Kansai University. This week, another group will visit the Hokkaido Hunters Association to interview an expert about the bear situation in Sapporo.

Before conducting these interviews, students first do extensive research on their topic from an international perspective. They investigate how the issue is being addressed in different countries and compare those approaches with the situation in Japan.

Many of the questions students ask are based on these international comparisons. Researching in both Japanese and English helps them discover a wider range of ideas and viewpoints. This international approach is one of the unique features of project learning in the International Course.
