【新入生歓迎会】ニカ先生による昭和記念公園BBQレポート
昭和記念公園のバーベキューガーデンで新入生歓迎会を実施しました。生徒会が、新入生と先輩とが同じ班で活動することで学年を超えた交流を生み、新入生がより早く高校生活に馴染めるようにと企画してくれました。今日はフィリピン出身のニカ先生が、快晴のもと新緑が心地よい当日の様子をお伝えします。
An awesome BBQ Welcome Party for new students
On May 7th, students headed to Showa Kinen Park. It was a picture-perfect day for outdoor activities; the sun was shining, and a refreshing breeze kept everyone comfortable. Around 11 AM, everyone had gathered in their respective tents. After a quick briefing on safety and setup, the student leaders returned to their groups, and the fun officially began!
5月7日、生徒たちは昭和記念公園へ向かいました。太陽が輝き、心地よい風が吹き抜ける、野外活動にぴったりの絶好の天気でした。午前11時頃、全員がそれぞれのテントに集まりました。安全と設営に関する簡単な説明が終わると、生徒リーダーたちは各グループに戻り、いよいよ楽しい時間が始まりました！
Challenge of lighting their own charcoal fires
Each group took on the challenge of lighting their own charcoal fires. Though some students were not sure of how to get the flames going, they quickly learned with support from teammates, teachers, and park staff. It was good to see everyone working together!
各グループは、自分たちで炭火を起こすという課題に取り組みました。火のつけ方がわからないという生徒もいましたが、チームメイトや先生、公園スタッフのサポートのおかげで、すぐにコツを掴むことができました。みんなが協力し合う姿は本当に素晴らしいものでした！
A wonderful opportunity to bond
Once the grills were hot, the park was filled with the delicious smell of meat, vegetables, and sausages. There were marshmallows for dessert, too! Grilled marshmallows were the best! The relaxed atmosphere provided a wonderful opportunity for 2nd and 3rd-year students to bond with the 1st-years. I saw them all having fun talking to each other.
グリルが熱くなると、公園には肉や野菜、ソーセージの香ばしい匂いが漂いました。デザートにはマシュマロもありました！焼いたマシュマロは最高でした！この和やかな雰囲気は、2年生と3年生が1年生と親睦を深める絶好の機会となりました。みんなが楽しそうに話している姿が見られました。
Recreation by student council
After a satisfying lunch, it was time for recreation! Everyone moved to the open field for a game of “Janken Survival.” The goal was to win three rounds and “capture” the opponent’s card. As the game kicked off, cheers and laughter could be heard across the field. This spirit of competition kept the students engaged and excited throughout the game.
満足のいく昼食の後、いよいよレクリエーションの時間です！皆で広々とした広場へ移動し、「じゃんけんサバイバル」を楽しみました。ルールは、3回勝ち抜いて相手のカードを「奪う」こと。ゲームが始まると、広場中に歓声と笑い声が響き渡りました。この熱気あふれる競争心が、ゲーム中ずっと学生たちの関心を引いて、盛り上げ続けました。
