PIZZA WORKSHOP!

This summer, 43 students from the International Course took part in an exciting hands-on pizza-making workshop led by Simba Sensei and Christian Sensei. The workshop combined cooking, creativity, and communication, giving students the opportunity to learn a new skill while working together in a fun and interactive environment.

インターナショナルコースでは、43名の生徒が参加する夏季特別イベントとして、Simba先生とChristian先生によるピザ作りワークショップを開催しました。料理を楽しみながら、創造力やコミュニケーション力を育むことを目的とした、笑顔あふれる体験型プログラムとなりました。

To create an authentic pizza-making experience, special high-temperature pizza ovens were brought into the school. Students were introduced to a unique pizza dough recipe that uses 0.00% non-alcoholic beer instead of water. The natural malt aroma of the beer adds depth to the dough, creating a delicious flavour and texture while remaining completely alcohol-free.

当日は、本格的なピザ作りを体験してもらうため、学校内に専用の高温ピザ窯を設置。生徒たちは、0.00％のノンアルコールビールを水の代わりに使用したユニークなピザ生地のレシピを学びました。ノンアルコールビールに含まれる麦芽の豊かな香りが、生地に本格的な風味を与え、よりおいしいピザに仕上がります。

After learning the techniques of preparing and stretching the dough, each student designed their own original pizza. They were challenged to create a unique recipe, give their pizza a creative name, and present the concept behind their creation to their classmates. The workshop encouraged students to think creatively, communicate their ideas confidently, and express their individuality through food.

生地作りや成形のコツを学んだ後は、生徒一人ひとりがオリジナルピザ作りに挑戦しました。それぞれが自由な発想で具材を組み合わせ、オリジナルのピザに名前を付け、そのコンセプトをクラスメイトの前で発表しました。個性あふれるアイデアが次々と生まれ、教室は笑顔と活気に包まれました。

From classic favourites to imaginative new combinations, every pizza reflected the students’ personalities and creativity. By the end of the workshop, the room was filled with the wonderful aroma of freshly baked pizzas—and plenty of happy, full stomachs!

焼き上がったピザはどれも個性的でおいしそうなものばかり。教室いっぱいに香ばしい香りが広がり、生徒たちは自分たちで作ったピザを楽しみながら、充実した時間を過ごしました。

The event was a fantastic success and a wonderful example of how learning can take place beyond the classroom. We hope our students will continue making their own delicious pizzas at home and remember the enjoyable experience they shared with their classmates.

今回のワークショップは、「学ぶこと」と「楽しむこと」を両立した、インターナショナルコースならではの特別なイベントとなりました。今回学んだレシピをぜひ家庭でも再現し、楽しかった思い出とともに、おいしいピザ作りに挑戦してくれることを期待しています。
