Clark Saitama Campus Pen Pal Exchange with Milton High School
Clark Saitama Campus is privileged to participate in a Pen Pal Exchange Program with Milton High School in Atlanta, Georgia. Once a month, our students will compose handwritten letters to their American counterparts. This program offers a valuable opportunity to communicate and share ideas with students from another country.
Today, we began by writing profile letters to introduce ourselves. The students at Milton High School are studying Japanese and will write their letters in both English and Japanese. This gives us the chance to respond to their questions and prepare thoughtful questions of our own.
In addition to fostering international friendship, we are also focusing on improving our penmanship. In an age dominated by technology, handwriting is becoming a lost art. We believe there is nothing more personal or beautiful than a handwritten letter.
クラーク埼玉キャンパス、アメリカ・ミルトン高校とのペンパル交流を開始
クラーク埼玉キャンパスでは、アメリカ・ジョージア州アトランタにあるミルトン高校とのペンパル交流プログラムに参加できることを光栄に思います。月に一度、私たちはアメリカの学生たちに手書きの手紙を送っています。このプログラムは、異文化の学生とコミュニケーションをとり、アイデアを共有できる貴重な機会です。
本日は、自己紹介のプロフィールレターを書くことからスタートしました。ミルトン高校の生徒たちは日本語を学んでおり、英語と日本語の両方で手紙を書いてくれます。それにより、私たちは相手の質問に答え、自分たちの質問も考えることができます。
また、この交流を通じて、私たちは文字を書く力（ペンマンシップ）の向上にも取り組んでいます。現代ではテクノロジーの普及により、手書きの文字は失われつつあるスキルです。しかし、手書きの手紙ほど、心がこもった美しいものはないと私たちは信じています。
