【インターナショナルコース】GO！野毛山！
For the second day in a row, the International Course students went out and got some exercise. And no, not PE again! Today we took a hike up to Nogeyama Zoo, where the students strolled around with their groups, checking out the animals and completing tasks in English ranging from easy to hard. Some easier tasks were animal word searches or assigning superlative awards. Students could write funny captions to animal photos, or a comparison between two animals. Higher level students were asked to challenge themselves to such things as writing a detailed description of an animal, including its physical appearance, behaviors, habitat, and more, or writing an opinion piece about whether animals should be kept in zoos. There were many more activities, and since levels were mixed within the groups, students were able to mentor each other. It was so nice to see them all working together, and enjoying the nice weather and interesting animals!
スペシャルウィークは続きます。この日は、野毛山動物園へ行きました。ただ、動物園を楽しむだけではありません。今週初めに組んだクラス学年ミックスのグループに分かれ「英語のミッション」に挑戦しました。
ミッションのレベルも簡単なものから難しいものまで用意されていましたが、グループ内には異なるレベルの生徒で編成されていたため、先輩や英語が得意な生徒が教える姿も見られました。
天候に恵まれ、生徒たちが協力し合って課題に取り組む姿はとても微笑ましいものでした。
